Kelly & Lila is a collaborative venture with my grandmother, Lila… still unfolding in the mystery.
Lila was the daughter that I never had.
She was also my grandmother.
On each birthday, my Nana Lila gave me a small doll dressed in costume from another part of the globe. As I grew up, she helped with my language studies, and shared her dream of working at the United Nations. We talked about traveling the world together.
At the age of 55, on her way to a charity event, Lila was killed in a car accident with 3 dear friends.
I was 14.
I’ve been trying to reclaim her ever since.
